Located right off of Turkey Lake Road and across from Universal Studios Orlando is Dr. Phillips High School - home of the Panthers. School colors are navy blue and carolina blue. Dr. Phillips High School is one of the top out of 38 High Schools located in Orange County. The school's mission is "To lead our students to success with the support and involvement of families and the community."

The school was built back in 1987 for 2,500 students. It originally dealt with over-enrollment but the school had $60 million renovations done back in 2015 so the school is relatively new and shiny! Sections of the school that were Renovated or Replaced are the Administrative Office, Classrooms, Kitchen/Cafeteria, Media Center, Gymnasium, and Art, Music, and Computer Labs. The school's Performing Arts Center got an Expansion, Electronics were updated to match modern-day standards, and a new classroom building was added.
To show just how respected this school is, Dr. Phillips High School is home to Orange County's Performing Arts magnet, Center for International Studies, and has one of the top sports programs in the state.
The school offers many unique academic programs, starting with AP courses, AVID, Career Pathways for those seeking college-level content and credits to go towards college. Air Force JROTC teaches the important values of citizenship, self-esteem, self-respect, service to community, pride in belonging, self-discipline, and personal, family and social responsibility for future members of the US Air Force. Magnet and Arts Programs are designed to give a diverse range of learning opportunities to students seeking higher education. Center for International Studies gives students the chance to explore different cultures with study-travel programs in Europe and Japan to give students direct access to foreign cultures.
Dr. Phillips is exemplary in academics and has a 91% graduation rate with an above average proficiency in subject compared to the rest of the district's schools. If that doesn't prove the school's excellence, test scores in the school exceed both Mathematic and English state averages.
The press box at Bill Spoone Stadium is dedicated to Mike Murray, "The Voice of the Panthers" since the school opened its doors in 1987. The school has a large array of sports including lacrosse, football, baseball, golf, basketball, and swimming amongst others.
